Lectures
ICCAS is participating in the education of students at the Medical Faculty and at the Computer Science Faculty at the University of Leipzig.
At the Medical Faculty, ICCAS is offering the "Wahlfach Computer assistierte Chirurgie" (Computer Aided Surgery, CAS) for medical students in the 9th semester.
In Computer Science, Oliver Burgert is teaching "Medizinische Planungs- und Simulationssysteme" (Medical planning and simulation systems). Werner Korb completes the medical process chain with "Chirurgische Navigation, Mechatronik und Robotik" (surgical navigation, mechatronic and robotics).
Beginning in autumn 2006, both lectures will be part of the master studies of "Medical Computer Science" at the University of Leipzig.
ICCAS offers numerous possibilities in highly innovative research area of CAS. If you are interested in attractive and motivating topics for internships, diploma- or master thesis, or medical doctor thesis, please contact us.
