Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Dietz

Univ.-Professor Dr. Andreas Dietz is Director of the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at Universität Leipzig, and was trained at the University of Heidelberg.

His main field of research is clinical and experimental oncology. CAS is for him one of the most challenging fields in head and neck surgery because of the expectations of smaller surgical approaches and more intelligent surgical assistant systems. Due to its interdisciplinary nature and by bringing together medical and technical professionals, ICCAS offers the best possible conditions for the development of better CAS systems.
