Background and Position

Ina Patties studied Biology at the Leipzig University where she graduated with a diploma in 2004. She finished her scientific dissertation in 2013. Thereby, her doctoral theses addressed the effects of ionizing radiation combined with epigenetic drugs on medulloblastoma cells. Her main research area focuses on experimental radiation therapy and clinical radiation biology including the effects of multimodal treatments on tumor and normal cells. In October 2016, she joined the SonoRay project which aims to enhance tumor therapy by combination of focused ultrasound with ionizing radiation.
