Background & Position

Andrej Machno studied Computer Science at the Universität Leipzig and received his degree (Diplom) in 2009. During his studies he has specialized in Medical Computer Science. Following he has broaden his knowledge in the Computer Assisted Surgery.

He worked in the fields of Man-Computer-Interaction (MCI), risk management for medical devices and training development for interventional surgery at the Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery (ICCAS) of the Universität Leipzig, as well as at the Innovative Surgical Training Technologies (ISTT) of the University of Applied Sciences Leipzig.

Parallel to his professional occupation Andrej Machno is PhD student at the Universität Leipzig since 2010 and works on the development of Investigation Concepts for the MCI in Surgery.
