Background & Position

Richard Bieck studied Biomedical Engineering with a focus on biomechatronics in the bachelor degree at the Technical University of Ilmenau and graduated in 2012. He then studied Biomedical Engineering in a consecutive masters programm at the University of Rostock. His areas of specialization were medical image processing, implant technology and biomechanics.

During his studies he worked as a research assistant at the Biomechanics and Implant Technology Research Laboratory (ForBioMit) of the University Medical Center Rostock in the working groups numerical simulations and biomechanics.

After his graduation in 2014 he joined the ICCAS as a research associate in the research group “Model Based Automation and Integration”.
