{"id":13139,"date":"2016-04-29T12:47:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T10:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iccas.de\/?p=13139"},"modified":"2019-08-14T13:51:07","modified_gmt":"2019-08-14T11:51:07","slug":"girlsday-am-iccas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iccas.de\/en\/girlsday-am-iccas\/?&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Girls\u2019Day am ICCAS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>April 29, 2006<\/p>\n<p>Due to the nationwide Girls\u2019Day \u2013 the largest project for giving schoolgirls guidance on a job &#8211; ICCAS welcomed 12 girls from the 8th-10th grades on 28th of April. The visitors came from schools in Saxony and Saxony Anhalt to inform themselves about career opportunities in the fields of medical informatics. Their hosts were the Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology (IMISE), the Clinic and Policlinic for Gastroenterology and Rheumatology at the Leipzig University Hospital and ICCAS.<\/p>\n<p>At ICCAS the girls met female scientists who spoke about their work- and study experiences in the male domain and introduced their research activities. After a visit of the Demo-OR the female pupils got the possibility to put their hands on medical assistance systems such as an ultrasonic device and a milling machine for temporal bone operations.
