\nOn January 13th the Federal Minister of Education and Research, Dr. Annette Schavan, visited the Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery (ICCAS) at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig. During her visit she was accompanied by Mr. Hiepe (Federal Ministry of Education and Research), Dr. Husemann (Projekttr\u00e4ger J\u00fclich) and Dr. Uhlman (Saxon Ministry of Science and the Fine Art).<\/p>\n

For the University acted as hosts the University\u2019s Rector Professor H\u00e4user, the Dean of Medical Faculty and Managing Director of ICCAS Professor Meixensberger, and the Medical Director of the University Hospital Professor Fleig.<\/p>\n

\nOn January 13th the Federal Minister of Education and Research, Dr. Annette Schavan, visited the Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery (ICCAS) at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig. Dr. Schavan showed great interest in the results achieved so far by the ICCAS researchers in the fields of Surgical Workflow and Surgical Assist Systems. She also took the opportunity to test some of the applications herself, such as the FESS-Control milling instrument and the tissue simulator. <\/p>\n
