For the 3MP-FUS project funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmbf.de\/bmbf\/en\/home\/home_node.html\">Federal Ministry of Education and Research<\/a>, the Sola 1.5 T MR tomograph<!--more--> ordered from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siemens-healthineers.com\/en-us\">Siemens Healthineers<\/a> \u2018flew in\u2019 to its RF cabin in the backyard of the Red House at Leipzig University Hospital A\u00f6R on 14 May 2024.<br \/>\nThe state-of-the-art MRI scanner will be available to the ICCAS &#8211; Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery &#8211; Image-guided Focused Ultrasound research team headed by Prof. Dr Andreas Melzer &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-leipzig.de\/en\">Leipzig University<\/a> for research work on the project. Together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.localite.de\/en\/home\/\">Localite GmbH<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibmt.fraunhofer.de\/en.html\">Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft IBMT<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpg.de\/institutes\">Max Planck Institute MPI<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/mri-star.com\/en\/home-3\/\">MRI-STAR<\/a>, ICCAS is working on using focussed multi-modal-multi-parametric ultrasound under MRI control for neuromodulation and research into innovative therapies for rare neuropsychiatric diseases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Landed!
