However, a great willingness to cooperate is required in order to exploit this potential. The digitalization of medicine has already made progress, but challenges remain, particularly in terms of interoperability, security and acceptance.<\/p>\n<p>For a successful introduction of SDC, the IT industry, politicians, hospital administrations and manufacturers must work together to overcome technological, regulatory and organizational hurdles. Patients and medical staff could benefit from rapid adoption through improved care, greater efficiency and fewer errors in hospital
