The aim of the project is to develop soft robotic end effectors for clinical use, with the combined resources and expertise of the Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery (ICCAS) and the Faculty of Engineering at HTWK Leipzig playing a central role. The ICCAS with project leader Prof. Thomas Neumuth (Technical Director) is thus starting a new cooperation with the chairs of Simulation of Energetic and Technical Systems (Prof. Stephan Sch\u00f6nfelder), Systems Theory and Mechatronics (Prof. Jens J\u00e4kel) and Lightweight Construction with Composite Materials (Prof. Robert B\u00f6hm) at HTWK Leipzig. The ICCAS focuses on clinical requirements, system design and clinical integration, while the HTWK makes a decisive contribution to the technical implementation of the system components with its expertise in control engineering, simulation and materials science.<\/p>\n<p>We invite all interested parties to follow the progress of the project and actively participate in the discussion.
