Juni 2014<\/p>\n<p>Erstaunen, Neugier, Skepsis. Mario Cypko bewirkte mit seiner Videopr\u00e4sentation zum patienten-spezifischen Therapiemodell auf der diesj\u00e4hrigen Jahresversammlung der Deutschen Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Hals-Nasen-Ohrenheilkunde, Kopf- und Hals-Chirurgie die unterschiedlichsten Reaktionen. In seinem Video nahm der Informatiker die Kliniker mit auf die virtuelle Reise vom Tumorboard des Universit\u00e4tsklinikums Leipzig (UKL) in die ICCAS-Ideenschmiede, wo die Forschungsarbeiten der DPM-Gruppe zu entscheidungsunterst\u00fctzenden Systemen seit \u00fcber einem Jahr auf vollen Touren laufen. Cypko heimste von der Sitzungsleitung nicht nur das Pr\u00e4dikat \u201eabgespacestes\u201c Video ein, er warf mit seiner abstrakten Pr\u00e4sentation auch viele Fragen zu Bedeutung, Einsatz und M\u00f6glichkeiten solcher Systeme auf und machte die Teilnehmer gespannt auf zuk\u00fcnftige Entwicklungen. <\/p>\n<p>Auch Matth\u00e4us St\u00f6hr, Assistenzarzt in der HNO-Klinik des Universit\u00e4tsklinikums Leipzig und ehemaliger Mitstreiter der DPM-Gruppe, erweckte mit seinem Vortrag \u00fcber die Modellierung und Unterst\u00fctzung von therapeutischen Entscheidungsprozessen am Beispiel des Larynxkarzinoms gro\u00dfes Interesse bei den Kongressteilnehmern. Es zeigte sich abermals, wie wichtig der direkte Austausch zwischen Forschern und Anwendern ist. Besonders vor dem Hintergrund der wachsenden Informationsmengen zum Patienten und seiner Krankheit wurden die bisherigen Forschungsergebnisse und Ausblicke zum digitalen Patientenmodell mit Begeisterung aufgenommen. <\/p>\n<p>Das Video zum digitalen Patientenmodell, welches im Zuge des Videowettbewerbs \u201eFast Forward Science\u201c entstand, ist im ICCAS Research Video Journal unter: <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iccas.de\/forschung-2\/video-journal\/\">ICCAS \u2013 Digital Patient Modeling Group \u2013 Mario Cypko<\/a><\/em> zu sehen.<!--:--><!--:en-->Astonishment, curiosity, skepticism. Mario Cypko\u2019s video presentation on patient-specific therapy model caused various reactions at this year&#8217;s annual meeting of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.<br \/>\nIn this video, the computer scientist took the clinicians on a virtual journey from the tumor board of the Leipzig University Hospital into the ICCAS think tank, where the research of the DPM group on decision support systems has been running at full speed since over one year.<br \/>\nCypko not only reaped the predicate \u201cmost spacy video\u201d from the session management, with his abstract presentation he also raised questions about meaning, use and capabilities of such systems and made the participants curious for future developments.<\/p>\n<p>Matth\u00e4us St\u00f6hr, assistant physician at the ENT-department of the Leipzig University Hospital and former teammate of the DPM group, also aroused great interest among the conference participants with his lecture on modeling and support of therapeutic decision-making processes on the example of laryngeal cancer. Once again it became apparent that the direct exchange between researchers and users is fundamental.
