Future. People.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->More than<strong> 5,000 exhibitors from over 70 countries<\/strong> and around <strong>80,000 trade visitors<\/strong> are expected to attend to discuss the latest developments in medical and health technology.<\/p>\n<p>A central theme of this year&#8217;s MEDICA is the <strong>digitization and networking of the healthcare system<\/strong>. The focus will be on <strong>artificial intelligence, robotics, assistance systems<\/strong>, and the digital <strong>hospital of the future<\/strong>. These focal points reflect the profound changes in the industry \u2013 from rising quality requirements and a shortage of skilled workers to global supply chain and regulatory challenges.<\/p>\n<p>A highlight of the<strong> \u201cMTF: VDE Connected Health\u201d<\/strong> forum is the presentation by <strong>Thomas Neumuth<\/strong> entitled<em> \u201cIntegration of 5G and 6G technologies in medicine.\u201d<\/em> Neumuth will show how <strong>5G technologies<\/strong> are already enabling <strong>telemonitoring, mobile diagnostics<\/strong>, and <strong>networked surgical scenarios<\/strong> today \u2013 and how <strong>6G networks<\/strong> will revolutionize medicine in the future with <strong>extremely high data rates, minimal latency<\/strong>, and <strong>intelligent sensor and AI structures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The accompanying panel discussion<strong> \u201cSmart Networks, Smart Medicine \u2013 6G Research Trends and Future Prospects\u201d<\/strong> will also highlight how <strong>intelligent communication networks<\/strong> are shaping the healthcare of the future: from <strong>real-time data transmission<\/strong> and <strong>AI-supported diagnostics<\/strong> to <strong>secure, high-performance infrastructures<\/strong> for hospitals and telemedicine.
