Philipp Liebmann (Group Standards) defended the latest development of the successful extension of the DICOM standards for ICCAS at the DICOM Working Group 6 in Washington DC. The extension allows to store data on optical surface scanners in a standardized form. Extensions of the DICOM standards take place in three phases, all of which must be discussed together with the DICOM Working Group 6. Philip Liebmann and Christian Dressler (former ICCAS) succeeded at the second phase (Public Comment).
