Prof. Peter Dabrock, Prof. Florian Lordick and Prof. Thomas Neumuth discuss how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics are revolutionizing medicine. Everyone interested in this topic is cordially invited to participate!

The discussion will take place as part of the Science Year sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), which this year focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a topic of controversial views. Join in the discussion to find out more about the following questions:

  • How are artificial intelligence and robotics used in medicine to make diagnoses and propose optimized therapies?
  • In which areas can artificial intelligence already diagnose diseases better than humans?
  • What progress is foreseeable in prevention, diagnosis and therapy in the future?
  • What ethical guidelines do we need to ensure the innovative and responsible use of AI in medicine?
  • Prof. Peter Dabrock is Professor of Protestant Theory at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg and Chairman of the German Ethics Council. Prof. Florian Lordick heads the University Cancer Center Leipzig (UCCL) and is Director of the Medical Clinic and Polyclinic for Hematology and Cell Therapy, Internal Oncology and Haemostaseology at the Leipzig University Hospital.The event will be moderated by Monika Seynsche, science journalist and presenter for Deutschlandradio and the BBC World Service, among others.
