ICCAS was represented at Bitkom’s Digital Health Conference in Berlin, where over 700 participants came together under the motto “How can digital healthcare take off?” to discuss topics such as the shortage of specialists, reducing bureaucracy, the use of big data and the use of artificial intelligence. With the KliNet5G project, ICCAS presented innovative approaches for networked healthcare solutions and underlined the importance of 5G technologies for efficient and more flexible healthcare.
In his speech, Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach highlighted the electronic patient file as Germany’s central digital project and emphasized the potential of AI and personalized medicine to improve diagnoses and interrupt disease processes at an early stage. Other topics at the event included the interoperability of digital solutions and standardization as the key to their widespread implementation.
For ICCAS, participation was a valuable opportunity to demonstrate the relevance of its research and provide important impetus for the digital healthcare of the future.
