Best Paper Award für Silvia Born auf PacificVis Korea 2012 15.03.2012
Silvia Born (Group Visual Computing) nahm an der 5. IEEE Pacific Visualization in Songdo (Korea) teil und gewann den Best Paper Award für ihren Beitrag „Visual 4D MRI Blood Flow Analysis with Line Predicates“. Sie präsentierte eine neue Möglichkeit der visuellen Auswertung von Blutflussdaten (4D MRI), die es erlaubt, Unregelmäßigkeiten in der Blutströmung leichter zu erkennen. Dies kann dem Arzt neben den morphologischen Veränderungen wichtige Hinweise auf kardiovaskuläre Erkrankungen geben und ihn bei der Diagnose, Prognose und Therapie unterstützen.
Die Publikation entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Matthias Pfeifle (Tübingen), Prof. Michael Markl (Northwestern University of Chicago) und Prof. Gerik Scheuermann (Leipzig).
Silvia Born (Visual Computing Group) participated in the 5th IEEE Pacific Visualization in Songdo (Korea) and won the Best Paper Award for her article “Visual 4D MRI Blood Flow Line Analysis with Predicates”. She presented a new possibility of the visual evaluation of blood flow data (4D MRI), which allows to detect irregularities in the blood flow more easily. This can give the doctor important information on cardiovascular diseases and assists in the diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.
The publication was produced in collaboration with Matthias Pfeifle (Tübingen), Prof. Michael Markl (Northwestern University of Chicago) and Prof. Gerik Scheuermann (Leipzig).
