This year’s Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics (HSMR) has been taking place since April and will run until the end of July with talks and workshops on a range of topics covering the application of medical robotics in clinical settings as diverse as Urology, Cardiac Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Gynecology, ENT, Orthopedic and Pediatric Surgery.
Part of the scientific program this year is a special workshop dedicated to the imminent robotic autonomy in surgery. Prof. Andreas Melzer will be part of a team of four speakers with surgical, industrial and technology backgrounds, who will draw a comprehensive picture on the topic of autonomous surgery. Specifically, ICCAS’ director will give a talk on Robotics for Image guided Therapy and Focused Ultrasound. Participation in the workshop is free of charge and requires only a registration via the following form.
