The Saxon Minister of State for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion Petra Köpping and Member of the State Parliament Holger Mann, MdL, who is also member of the Steering Board of KAIT, have informed themselves about the current status of the KAIT project at the ICCAS. Prof. Platzbecker, Head of the Department for Hematology, Cell Therapy and Hemostaseology, Fabian Kreimendahl from Janssen Germany (industrial partner in the KAIT project), Prof. Thomas Neumuth as well as project coordinator from ICCAS Alexander Oeser and Dr. Kubasch (UKL) presented the project. The joint venture has the objective to develop an AI-based digital health platform for therapeutic decision support for patients with complex blood diseases. The platform “KAIT” will be accessible to physicians in clinics as well as in practices and will provide them with evidence-based suggestions for individualized therapy strategies. In addition to the KAIT project, our scientists presented the current research focus of ICCAS in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR) and medical robotics in the in-house demo OR and robotics lab.
