ICCAS participates in webcast “Krebsmedizin aktuell” on Image & Computer-Assisted Precision Surgery

Prof. Thomas Neumuth was one of the speakers at the event series “Webcast: Krebsmedizin aktuell”, organized by the Leipzig University Cancer Center (UCCL) and Department of Oncology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Pneumology and Infectiology. The overarching topic of the session was “Image & Computer Assisted Precision Surgery” and Prof. Neumuth discussed current topics in preclinical research from which technology innovations for surgery can be derived. In addition, Univ. Prof. Dr. Ines Gockel – Head of the Department of Visceral, Transplantation, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery as well as Chairwoman and Member of the Clinical Committee at ICCAS, explained the importance of the innovative intraoperative imaging technique for visceral surgery.
