Computer scientist Mario Cypko organized this year’s Young Investigator Networking (YINS) session of the International Society for Computer Aided Surgery. The international non-profit-association pursues the goal of advancing new technologies and research activities in the area of computer-assisted surgery. The characteristic of the YINS session is its presentation format which addresses young researchers. Here, they can present themselves their profile and scientific ideas to senior researchers and industry representatives in a relaxed atmosphere. This simplifies establishing contacts within this research sector.
