Shaping the Future of Medicine took place at the Pittlerwerke in Leipzig from 24th-25th September 2024, where the latest developments in digital medicine and the integration of AI in cancer medicine were highlighted. The conference participants were accompanied and guided through the program by the co-founders of the event: Dr. Uwe Platzbecker, Dr. Thomas Neumuth and Dr. Anne Sophie Kubasch.
The first day is aimed at young medical professionals with pitch sessions, discussions and experience reports on career paths and the combination of clinical work and research. On the second day, the focus will be on pioneering research and the possibilities of AI in clinical development.
Thomas Neumuth opened the event, together with the other two organizers, with a few introductory words and warmly welcomed all guests to this year’s event. He also took on the role of moderator for various presentations.
Stefan Franke from ICCAS also gave a presentation in which he introduced the new Certainty project, which involves the creation of a virtual twin to be used for cellular immunotherapy in personalized cancer treatment.
