On September 25th, 2024, the conclusion of the Tri5G project took place at the DHL hub in Leipzig, where numerous innovative developments were presented that demonstrate the future of mobility and connectivity. The event offered insights into various exhibits from the partners, including an autonomously driving bus from the L Group in collaboration with TU Dresden and a solution to improve the release of vehicles in the BMW parking lot.
Particularly impressive were the advances in rescue service connectivity, which enable optimized data transmission from the ambulance, including real-time analysis of ultrasound and ECG data. In addition, fence monitoring with AI-supported cameras and automated snow clearance at Halle/Leipzig Airport were presented.
In addition to the demonstrations, there were presentations and an exchange on mobile phone networking and edge computing. The applications presented impressively illustrated the functionality of 5G in the northern Leipzig area and showed the potential of the technology for various industries.
The Tri5G project aims to establish Leipzig as a leading center for 5G technologies and will continue to make progress in implementing these innovative applications in the coming months.
