Denis Gholami Bajestani studied Mechanical Engineering (BEng) and Biomedical Engineering (MSc) at University of Applied Sciences Aachen. He spent some time abroad with the Medical Device Design Group of UCD Dublin. Here, he supported Dr. Fergal Coulter working on the design and fabrication of a bio-hybrid artificial pancreas in the H2020 funded DRIVE project. His work with UCD contributed to his master’s thesis entitled “Characterisation of Hydrophilic Silicone Membranes for Cell Encapsulation Devices”.
He has recently started as Research Associate at ICCAS working on MR-guided interventions within the projects: MR-Stents, MR-Thrombosis and MR-Biopsy.
