Background and Position

Georg Osterhoff (PD Prof. Dr. med., EBSQ) is Managing Senior Consultant at the Department of Orthopaedics, Trauma and Plastic Surgery at Leipzig University Hospital, Germany. He worked at the Departments of Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics at the University of Zurich and completed a fellowship in adult orthopaedic trauma at the University of British Columbia (CA). Since the beginning of his career, he has dedicated himself to research. His current research topics include biomechanical and clinical assessment of musculoskeletal injuries, musculoskeletal tumors and digital health applications in traumatology and orthopedics. He is a founding member of the Digitalization Working Group of the German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery (DGOU).
