Nassir Navab is Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Computer Aided Medical Procedures at the Technical University of Munich and at the Johns Hopkins University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the French National Institute for computer science and applied mathematics (INRIA) and the University of Paris XI, and realized two years of post-doctoral fellowship at MIT Media Laboratory before joining Siemens Corporate Research (SCR). He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the MICCAI Society and the Steering Committee of the IEEE Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR). Navab is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of IHU Strasbourg and the Gift Surgery Program at UCL.
