Stefan Bohn studied Biomedical Engineering in Jena until 2002 and received his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg in 2005. He worked in the fields of software engineering, robotics, interventional surgery, and medical imaging at the Research Centre Karlsruhe, Siemens Medical Erlangen, as well as at the Max-Planck-Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience Leipzig. In 2013 he graduated in Computer Science with a doctoral thesis about the Design of an Integration Architecture for Computer Assisted Surgery. From 2015 to 2023 he worked as a team lead at the IT Department of the University Hospital Jena and was responsible for the management of medical software applications and hospital information systems. At ICCAS he is currently working at the 5G research projects with a focus on the integration with clinical IT systems.
